Managing your health online

Using your NHS account

There are other tasks you can do online, like:

  • order repeat prescriptions
  • view your test results
  • see parts of your health record
  • check or cancel appointments
  • see your vaccination record

For these, you can use your NHS account. You can access them using their websites or apps.

Setting up an NHS account

To set up your NHS account for the first time, you will need to set up an NHS login.

Once you have set up your NHS login, you can log in to your NHS account or download the NHS App onto your phone. You can also use your NHS account to log in to other health services. The full list of available online services can be found here

PATCHS

PATCHS is an online consultation service that allows you to quickly and easily access GP services online. You can log in using your NHS account, or you can set up a PATCHS account. You can use PATCHS to:

  • request an appointment
  • seek advice about a health problem
  • request a sick note
  • ask about test results
  • submit a medication request
  • contact us

Accessing someone else’s information

As a parent, family member or carer, you may be able to access services for someone else. We call this having proxy access. We can set this up for you if you are both registered with us.
