Even during lockdown, we're still open

Echoing our post on the 18th of September, we just would like to assure you that we are still open and are seeing patients. Your health is important and the government have made it clear that you can still leave home for medical reasons. Yes, the way in which consultations have been undertaken has changed (to protect the GP staff and other patients who need to attend the Surgery) but if you feel that you need to be seen, the process remains the same - ring the surgery to request an appointment. If you feel you need to be seen urgently, ring in the morning (we open at 8 am). The GP will first and foremost try to assess and manage your condition via telephone. After assessing the situation, if the GP feels you need to be seen, they will arrange for you to come in.

Flu vaccinations still available - We still have flu vaccinations in stock and are due to get our final delivery in the next 2 weeks. If you are eligible we highly recommend that you call the surgery to arrange an appointment, or ask next time you attend for an appointment.

Regarding shielding - Within the lockdown announcement the government has clarified that there will be no shielding category as there was in the first wave, but they will be writing out to patients who due to their medical conditions will be defined within a 'Clinically Extremely Vulnerable' group.
