Out of Hours

If you are in need of medical assistance between the hours of 6:30pm and 8:00am Monday to Friday, or over the weekend, please call 111. As of 23/07/2018 there is also now an NHS 111 website if you would prefer to contact them via a web browser.

NHS 111 is the free number to call when you have an urgent healthcare need. It directs you to the right local service, first time. It is available across the whole of England making it easier for you to access urgent healthcare services when you need medical help fast. It is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

When should you call it?

  • You don't know who to call for medical help or you don't have a GP to call
  • You think you need to go to Accident and Emergency or another NHS urgent care service but are not sure which one is most appropriate
  • You require health advice or reassurance about what to do next

At other times (i.e. between 4:30PM and 6:30PM on Christmas Eve) please telephone Bury And Rochdale Doctors On Call (BARDOC)

If you are not housebound, you may be able attend one of the following Walk In Centres during their opening hours:
